Flower Mound (Texas) High Top247 2022 quarterback Nick Evers tells 247Sports he has committed to Oklahoma. Evers took an official visit to Norman over the weekend.

The four-star passer is the first pledge of the Brent Venables era. He is commit No. 13 overall.

Evers talked with 247Sports on Sunday night about his visit to Norman which included his relationship with offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby.

“Really enjoyed the visit,” Evers told 247Sports. “Coach Venebles, Coach Lebby, and the rest of the staff made us feel welcomed from the jump! “The facilities, the campus, and the people were awesome! You can tell why they have been so successful.

“We got a chance to watch a little bit of practice, so it made it easy envision yourself grinding with these dudes! It was really cool to see Bob Stoops there and how he ran things too!” The 6-foot-3, 188-pound Evers is tabbed by the Top247 as the nation’s No. 8 quarterback and No. 123 prospect overall.

Over the last two seasons, Evers completed over 60 percent of his passes for 4,944 yards and 40 touchdowns to just 15 interceptions. He added another 915 rushing yards and 15 scores.

With Evers in the fold, this Oklahoma class rises six spots to No. 15 in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, good for No. 2 in the Big 12.
